Parents have a particularly important role to play in education.
Our school believes: The primary role of the school is to support parents in the faith education of their child. Parents play an integral role in the life of the school and can contribute in many ways. When children see their parents and teachers sharing common beliefs, attitudes and goals, they feel more secure and demonstrate a greater sense of self worth.
All children positively respond to seeing their parents and family members at school events and activities. Our School works in close partnership with parents and strongly encourages them to be actively involved in school activities at St Augustine Primary School. There are numerous to contribute including:
All parent helpers are required to have signed a Code of Conduct agreement. See school calendar and newsletter for Code of Conduct training sessions. Parents who regularly assist in the school and on excursions are requested to have a National Police History Check.
Grandparent helpers are also welcome! All Grandparent helpers are required to obtain a Working With Children card (WWC).
